Position Summary:

The Shared Services Specialist is accountable and responsible for various projects in support of the client service, implementation and tax functions within the organization. This position is assigned projects from various operational groups that require time and attention to complete and allow the front-line service team to continue to offer personal service to their clients while delivering on projects in a timely and accurate manner. Projects will range in size and complexity and may include items such as data entry, data imports, mass edits/updates to employee demographic data, GL creation/changes, Accrual policy creation/changes, benefit policy updates, report creation and tax adjustments. The Shared Services Specialist will work closely with assigned client representatives to understand each client’s needs and delivery expectations.

Job Requirements:

  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills and other Microsoft Office Suite Products
  • High technical aptitude
  • Ability and initiative to learn new skills/functions through successful completion of Payroll Partners training
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work efficiently and effectively on project teams and alone
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize projects to ensure client needs are met within short turnaround times

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Payroll Partners products, features and usage.
  • Verify all necessary data and forms have been obtained to successfully complete assigned projects
  • Accurately execute on assigned projects within given timeframe, meeting or exceeding client expectations
  • Review accuracy of projects assigned and resolve any problems prior to client delivery
  • Record and maintain project status in project tracking tool.
  • Provide regular and effective communication with client/service team regarding status of assigned projects
  • Collaborate with internal resources to deliver the best solution to the client

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient with computers the internet keyboarding and ten key typing.?

?The position is considered to have light physical demands that require the incumbent to communicate orally, hear at a conversational level and perform job tasks requiring the use of a telephone, fax, and computer.?
?While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to continuously (67 to 100% time on job) perform keying functions, grasp and pinch to write. The employee frequently (80% time on job) will be required to stand, walk, and sit. Occasionally (20% time on job), the employee will be required to reach out, twist and stoop. In rare instances the employee will be required to kneel, squat, climb a ladder and crawl.??

?The lifting and carrying requirements of the job require the employee to frequently (34-66% of the time) lift and carry up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 35 pounds.?
